The 1996-1997 Sheehan hockey team had a rebuilding season. With the loss of Dave Neisen and Ryan Burke the team had to step up and start to hold its own. With the exception of their only senior, captain Scott Hanson, the team was extremely young. Being so young never stopped the underclassmen from trying their hardest. Gary Wasilewski, a sophomore, was the team's leading scorer. With the talent of the first line he was able to get close to the net and score his goals. Matt Hartline, a freshman, was a star defenseman.
